Happy Pokémon day! On accord of my Internet dying yesterday.

For the occasion, I’d… like to talk about something. And, this blog feels like the place to do it.

What do you suppose is the future of Team Flare, in Sun/Moon? Will they function without a Leader? Will they be led by a new one.. or.. might they be opposed/replaced by a “Lunar” based team, in the new region?
  
I found something interesting, which has yet to be addressed.

There is language suggesting Flare’s name is derived from ‘Solar Flare’. That, and this line of dialogue; “Lysandre is like the sun to us,” one member claims. “He represents our hope!”

If this was indeed foreshadowing.. does that indicate there’s a counterpart?

The comparisons with RBY feel as though Flare may be a topic to avoid, if they are trying to ‘surprise us’. Giovanni disappeared in Kanto post-defeat, leaving Team Rocket to regroup on their own. While the scientists and Malva are fully capable, mimicking the plot of Johto may be too predictable.

Enter a completely ‘separate’ team, or two.

Perhaps, Team Flare have become Eclipsed. Without the Sun, the world has no light. Without hope, humanity is doomed to destruction. Lysandre’s disappearance may even cause a divide between remaining members.
Notice, orange, and pale blue are the colors of Sun/Moon, rather than the passionate red and royal blue of X and Y.

What do you make of this information? Do you too hold theories on the plot of this new region? Or, is it too early yet.
