“Common” pyroar (also known as “Rooster” pyroar): Common pyroar have a history of being used to deliver messages and protect travelers. Their distinctive, comb-like mane lights a path that’s easy to follow through even the thickest of fog.

“Collared” pyroar: Extremely aggressive and hard to train, these pyroar are popular specimens for battle.

“Achilles” pyroar: Achilles pyroar are rather docile, making them undesirable for battle. Any owner of an Achilles pyroar should be wary of walking them near puddles. 

“False-Mane” pyroar: A rare variety of female pyroar iconic for their uncharacteristically full mane. False-Mane pyroar are extremely popular in contest settings.

“Sunback” pyroar: Sunback pyroar can only be found in extremely cold climates. This subspecies of pyroar possesses exceedingly hot flames that melt the snow around them, keeping them warm in the coldest of habitats.
