So, I see there’s a debate currently happening over the worth of certain differently colored pokemon in the tags.

I’d like to remind you all of something. While requiring more work to find legitimately, 1/8192 shinies are seen to have no commercial (trading) ‘value’ once moved to 6th gen. 
Equally, the 6th generation market is now heavily saturated with dexnav/friend safari/mirage spot shinies, perfect iv’s, matching balls and hidden abilities, to the point where there is no clear line in 'value’ any more.

See, unlike many other things, Shiny pokemon are not a resource that is going to dry up in the near future. This may be difficult for some of you to accept, but their numbers will only steadily increase.

And with the methods of cheating currently available, it seems the only way we can confirm our pokemon are indeed legitimate, is to obtain them ourselves. Now, even the less dedicated can do so. Is this a bad thing? No. When would it ever be a bad thing, for mankind to have nice things?

Ultimately, only the owner may decide the worth of their pokemon, now.
But if you have nothing better to do than look for petty ways to place yourself above fellow shiny hunters anyway, I have no more time to waste on you.
